It is important to thank Lord Jesus all the time especially when our prayers have been answered or even through thick and thin.
Faith in Lord Jesus Christ and trusting ourselves in Him is the clue to bring out miracles that seem to be difficult to come true.
This is a story of a little boy which corroborates that fact that faith helps us all get through difficult times.
Little Daniel Oliveira is a 6-year-old in first grade who attends school in Fortaleza, Brazil. He wrote an unusual note found by a teacher in the school chapel, on top of the altar, next to an apple. It reads: “Thank you Lord Jesus for answering my prayer. I hope you like the apple.”
Daniel’s gratitude refers to an incident. He and his mother, Evelyn Oliveira, were victims of a robbery when a thief stole the boy’s backpack, thinking it contained his mother’s cell phone. Yes, a grown man assaulted a mother accompanied by her 6-year-old son and stole the child’s backpack.
Daniel was very sad, so he went out on the balcony and, looking up at the sky, said, ‘Lord Jesus, please make the man return my things. I love my lunchbox, my backpack and my books so much … Please!’”
Two days later, a woman helped recover Daniel’s belongings and he had all his stuff back. He then went back on the same balcony and said this time gave thanks. He said, “Jesus, thank You so much! I’m going to bring You an apple, because I like apples and I know You’ll like it too.”
Daniel made good on his word, and as soon as his parents bought him the apple, he went to put the fruit in the most logical place he could think of, to offer it to Jesus: the altar in the school’s chapel.
This event teaches us that it is important to thank Lord Jesus all the time especially when our prayers have been answered or even through thick and thin.
Lord Jesus healed all those who sought His help; and this is exemplified to how the ten lepers acted as they were all healed when they asked pity from Lord Jesus. Yet, only one of them came back to the Lord to thank Him. It is saddening that only one of them made the effort to look for and thank Lord Jesus for hearing and answering their prayer.
The Holy Bible abounds with verses that urge thanking the Lord. One of them says, “Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” (Thessalonians 5:16-18)
It is important to thank the Lord with profound gratitude for His countless blessings in life, and to seek His help to especially see these blessings when life is hard, and to be filled with a grateful heart and always rejoice in His goodness.
