In an embodiment of the role of the American University in Madaba (AUM) regarding serving the local community, the AUM Faculty of Health Services held a one-day activity on Monday, August 28, 2023 in cooperation with Caritas Jordan designed to provide medical services for the local community and refugees. The functionary included hormonal checkups, blood tests, in addition to performing other free medical tests and focusing on the nutritional needs of pregnant women.
For his part, Deputy Dean of the AUM Faculty of Health Services Dr. Islam Hamad noted that the AUM provides medical and health services to the local community, which contribute to enhancing awareness in the fields of health, preventing chronic diseases, maintaining healthcare, and promoting relevant health protection measures to be adopted among members of the local community.
