On Sunday, May 19th, 2024, at the garden of Saint Mary Alphonsine, at Beit Sahour’s Parish, the Prayer Committee of the General Secretariat of the Christian Youth in Palestine (Youth of Jesus Homeland) organized a Marian evening titled “Mary, the Bride of the Spirit.”
The evening was animated by the Shepherds’ Band under the direction of Mr. George Saliba and Sister Randa Hamarna from the Prayer Committee.
The event honored the Virgin Mary with the most beautiful hymns and melodies, asking her to intercede for the homeland of Jesus, so that justice and peace may prevail.
Just like the disciples prayed in the upper room with Our Lady, awaiting the outpouring of the Holy Spirit, likewise did all the attendees who joined in one spirit, raised their prayers to God with Our Lady, Mother of the Church.
The General Secretariat extends its gratitude to all who participated in animating this evening from believers of various parishes, especially Father Issa Hajazin, the parish priest of Beit Sahour, who hosted the event, and for the presence of the Patriarchal Vicar of Jordan, Father Jihad Shweihat.
