The Holy Land Christian Ecumenical Foundation will bestow upon HE Theodosios "Atallah" Hanna,Archbishop of Sebastia, The Greek Orthodox Patriarchate of Jerusalem the 2014 Faith & Tolerance Award at the annual HCEF Awards Banquet, held in conjunction with the 16th International Conference on Friday, October 17, 2014 at the Washington Marriott, 1221 22nd Avenue, Washington, DC 20037.

HE Archbishop "Atallah" Hanna has worked tirelessly for decades toward sustainable coexistence between Muslims and Christians in the Holy Land. He has represented the Christian community in almost every imaginable forum, including notably the International Palestinian Diaspora Youth Conference (an element of HCEF's Know Thy Heritage Leadership Program) and serves as an eloquent spokesperson for Christians to other religious communities.

 
Atallah serves as a member of the HCEF Board of Advisors and has proved to be an outstanding ambassador not just of HCEF, but of the whole Christian community. He is active in the local and regional ecumenical movement which seeks to enhance dialogue and bring various churches to work towards Christian unification. Sir Rateb Rabie, HCEF President/CEO, stated: "Bishop Atallah has made great strides as an advocate for freedom, justice and coexistence between peoples and we are proud of his dedication and spiritual leadership."
HCEF's Faith & Tolerance Award honors individuals and organizations that promote awareness and understanding of faith traditions as well as respecting religious diversity in the Holy Land. These individuals and organizations lead by example and engage their own communities and others in order to advance constructive dialogue
