A team of Caritas Jordan left for Shobak area on June 22, 2016 as part of a Ramadan campaign designed to distribute aid parcels to the needy families. The campaign, which started with the advent of the holy month, aimed at offering assistance to most needy Jordanian families as part of an effort to cover all areas in Jordan.
A coordination body was formed that comprised Shobak Ladies Society and Caritas Center in Karak designed to distribute food parcels and detergents to 300 families.
The Ramadan parcels were presented to the needy families in the presence of Shobak Ladies Society President Basma Habahbeh, who welcomed the Caritas team, the Shobak governor’s assistant, and other senior security officials.
Ms. Basma expressed her gratitude and appreciation to the humanitarian role Caritas Jordan is playing in the Kingdom’s governorates saying: “Today is a charity festival which Caritas carried out in Shobak.”
