Her Majesty Queen Rania has called the Latin Parish Priest in Madaba Fr. Firas Nasrawin and Director of the Rosary Sisters School in Al Misdar Sister Caroline Bader, and conveyed to them well wishes on the celebrations marking Christmas and new year.

On the Church’s Facebook page, Fr. Nasrawin states: “I received this morning with joy a phone call from Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah in which she expressed her best wishes and love for the people in Madaba, wishing everyone a merry Christmas. She also asked me to convey the greetings and wishes of His Majesty the King to the people of Madaba wishing everyone a Merry Christmas.

He added, “We thank His Majesty the King and Her Majesty the Queen for this kind initiative. This attitude is not strange to the Hashemite family that entrenched in the hearts of Jordanians and the world the trend of tolerance, love, and common living. May God protect Jordan so that it would remain a model of love and tolerance under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II.”

Sister Caroline Bader stated on her Facebook page, ”These words were improvised poems. The voice embodied warmth and security. This morning the moon shone for the first time. I was honored this morning by a phone call from Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah. May God protect her. This instilled joy in our hearts as this support that we always seek has not been interrupted. It was nothing but an accentuation of our principles.

She added: “In the spirit of humility and the heart of motherhood, Her Majesty enquired about our health conditions and extended well wishes on the advent of Christmas and new year to the nuns, members of the administrative and teaching staff, students, and all workers. She also enquired about the educational process in our Rosary Schools. Her words provided us with an energy that makes us move forward towards a modern education, an issue which Her Majesty has continuously strived to make a reality in our schools. She has never faltered in realizing her contemporary vision for a more up-to-date education and for the bringing up a generation that serves its homeland and its people.

Sister Bader concluded by saying: “While I am unable to choose words of thanks and gratitude to Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah, may God protect her for this noble Royal initiative of sharing with us the joy of the holidays. I would address Her Majesty saying that we are committed to proceed on the path to present the message of education in its best form so as to ensure a bright Jordan. Happy new year and happy returns of the day.”
