The right of Palestinians to move freely within their occupied homeland, especially to visit Jerusalem, is severely restricted by a punitive system of permits imposed by Israeli occupation authorities. This permit regime also restricts and violates Palestinians’ right to worship freely, as it bars the majority of Palestinians, Christian and Muslim, from entering Jerusalem.
