HCEF and BYU have partnered to present an exhibit at BYU’s Museum of Peoples and Cultures, “Returning to Bethlehem: A Cultural Pilgrimage,” which is scheduled to run from October 16, 2018, to May 16, 2019. The purpose of the exhibit is to provide a learning experience that will familiarize visitors with the cultural heritage, history, and identities of Bethlehem.
Explore Bethlehem while stepping through time as you view unique artifacts and historical landmarks. See genuine olive wood carvings and beautiful mother-of-pearl artifacts that have been provided by a Palestinian-Colombian collector, Enrique Daccarett. Enjoy the beauty of traditional Palestinian embroidered wedding costumes on loan from Hanan and Farah Munayyer’s Palestinian Heritage Foundation. Another feature of the exhibit is a special section on the Israeli “separation wall,” titled “’The Wall’: Can Identity Be Partitioned?”
