Amman, April 28 — Prime Minister Omar Razzaz on Sunday wished Christians in the Kingdom a happy Easter and said
that Jordan, under the Hashemite leadership, has always enjoyed a social fabric where all people live in harmony.
During a visit to the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese in Amman, Razzaz said that this is how Jordan has always been, a model in the world in upholding the message of peace and noble values.
He emphasized that the Jordanian people stand in support of His Majesty King Abdullah II in defending the Muslim and Christian sanctities in occupied Jerusalem.
Today also Senate President Faisal Fayez conveyed his well-wishes to Jordanian Christians who are celebrating Easter holidays, wishing the Kingdom progress and prosperity.
Fayez said: “We, in Jordan, under the wise Hashemite leadership, have always been a model for coexistence. We have always been close, brought together by the same destiny,” noting that Jordanians have contributed to the Kingdom’s development.
He affirmed that despite ongoing regional crises, Jordan has preserved its social fabric and internal front, adding that Jordanians stand together against enemies, hate speech, sedition, extremism and radicalization.
The Senate President also voiced hope that security and stability will continue to prevail in Jordan under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II.
