COVID -19 has affected the whole world, and our beloved Holy Land has not been spared. In fact, our people have been hit the hardest. Entire towns are under quarantine, and no one can leave their homes. Such a situation is a catastrophe for everyone—spiritually, morally, and financially.

Due to this pandemic, HCEF set the goal of assisting 100 families who have been severely harmed by the coronavirus in Ramallah, Jifna, Atara, and Birzeit. Driven by determination and faith, HCEF workers distributed food boxes containing basic items such as rice, flour, and oil. The recipients were chosen on the basis of recommendations from mayors of towns and from clergy representing both churches and mosques.

Sir Rateb Rabie, KCHS, HCEF president, stated, “This humanitarian act is an expression of HCEF’s heartfelt solidarity with the Palestinian people, who are suffering from the occupation and this deadly virus. We are praying for your health and safety.” He continued, “This is a message to the whole world that the Palestinian people are united and strong. Together we are standing tall while confronting these daunting challenges.”

We appreciate the efforts of all those who implemented this charitable project for providing support and assistance to the needy families. Many thanks to the volunteers and HCEF staff who made the food distribution possible.

Please pray for all the people of the world, particularly those who are enduring hardship and deprivation in Palestine. And please support the needy families by donating what you can for the continuation of our mission.
