In order to maintain the good health of the Birzeit community, HCEF provided senior citizens flu shots. This essential service is done on an annual basis in partnership with the Birzeit Health Clinic.
Given the challenge of COVID-19, it was carried out within the protocols of the Palestinian Ministry of Health, mainly allowing only three people to gather at any one time, observing social distance, and properly wearing the mask. This flu vaccination, which is both safe and effective, is a good protection for the elderly, and it is especially important for those who suffer from flu complications.
In addition to giving flu shots, HCEF distributed to senior citizens health protection materials, including bottles of hand sanitizer and masks that are necessary for protection against the Corona virus. On behalf of HCEF, we extend our sincere thanks to Dr. Mai Al-Kailah, Minister of Health, for donating sterile materials, masks, and vitamins for distribution to the elderly, and to Faten Mukhaimer, the nurse officer, for this health initiative to vaccinate the elderly. HCEF hopes to continue with its mission of assisting and serving senior citizens.
